Starting a New Quarter

Posted: October 19, 2014 in Uncategorized

Well, I’ve been teaching 9 weeks here in Oklahoma. It’s been a great year so far of learning in my classroom. Starting this next quarter, I’m going to be having students logging onto Google Classroom and begin to have lessons on there as well as starting the students in creating.

In September I set up a DonorsChoose project asking for 2 Chrome Books to be used in my classroom. With the help of a few donors and also Sonic’s Limeades for Learning, we now have the two Chrome Books to use.

Starting this week I am going to be trying some small group and stations work in my classroom. Students will be playing games to help learn adding/subtracting integers, watching videos on the computer and creating addition and subtraction problems to share with each other. I feel that having the computers will help students to work in small groups and be able to create.

Here’s to a new nine weeks!
