A New #OklaEd Event

Posted: May 31, 2015 in Uncategorized

Do you have a main focus right now that you want to share? Do you have a passion that you want to showcase? Do you just want to come and listen to people share about different things? If you said yes to any of those questions, you should attend!

I am working with a few educator friends to create an event for Friday, June 5, 2015, here in Stillwater, Oklahoma. We’re trying something new, but we know it’s going to be a great time of sharing!

What is the event? #stillEDtalk

What does it stand for? It’s taking place in Stillwater (still) and we are ‘still’ talking about education (ED), but instead of having sessions, it’s going to be talks (talk) given by anyone who wants to speak.Screen Shot 2015-05-31 at 5.29.39 PM

What does that mean? Well . . . .

Beginning at 6:30 pm this Friday at Gatsby in Stillwater (1415 S. Western Road) we are going to have an open mic for anyonewho wants to speak about an education topic. Actually, it doesn’t even have to be based on education, but keep in mind that it will be a lot of educators.

We will have a speaker system, a projector and a screen. So if you want to put together a short presentation, then you can. Maybe something will spark your mind and you think of something on the spot, you can share that! It’s going to be an informal setting for everyone to share and listen.

Now, do not come with a prepared keynote, because that’s not what this is about. This is a little like an TEDtalk, but not associated with them at all. This is just a place for you to come share, learn and relax.

If you have any questions, please email me at tplcmisterp@gmail.com and I will gladly answer any questions that you may have.
